On Tuesday and Wednesday, October 27-28, 2015, the Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee (PCAC) discussed and voted on drugs that were nominated for the bulk drug substances allowed list per section 503A of the Food Drug & Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act). A majority of the Committee members agreed with the FDA’s recommendation to include glutaraldehyde and to exclude 8 substances: methylsulfonylmethane, curcumin, germanium sesquioxide, rubidium chloride, deoxy-D-glucose, alanyl-L-glutamine, glycyrrhizin, and domperidone.
