Briefing Summary: US FDA Posts Advisory Committee Materials About Communicating the Importance of Eating Fish While Also Communicating Mercury Risk – NOV 3-4, 2014 (RCAC)

The US FDA has posted details, including FDA Briefing Materials, for the Monday and Tuesday, November 3-4, 2014 meeting of the Risk Communication Advisory Committee (RCAC). The committee will discuss methods for effective risk communication about the importance of eating adequate amounts of fish, while avoiding certain fish with higher amounts of methyl-mercury. The FDA says these messages are especially important for women who are pregnant or nursing, or for anyone who prepares food for young children.
